June 5, 2014: Mahindra and Mahindra, India's leading SUV maker launched the special edition of Mahindra XUV500christened as 'XUV500 Sportz'. The XUV500 Sportz is available at a price tag of INR 13.68 lakh (Ex-showroom Mumbai) ; only 1000 limited edition variants will be produced. The special edition SUV comes loaded with body decals; new set of alloys; rear parking camera; leather-fabric upholstery; red colored door, roof rails and fog lamp housing. The XUV500 also comes with 'Sportz' badging. Mechanically, the SUV remained unaltered, comes powered by the same 2.2 liter m-Hawk engine churning out 140bhp of max power and 330Nm of max torque. It is mated to a six speed manual transmission.
